The Auguste Garde and Louis Descombes instruments are made in Mirecourt, France: the cradle of the great French violin making tradition. Each instrument is individually graduated according to the tonewood character and crafted with the utmost attention to detail. Exquisite choice of tonewood. Reddish dark brown varnish with French polish finish for the Auguste Garde model, and amber brown varnish with matte finish for the L ouis Descombes model.
